Out with Photo Flood STL last Saturday and as the outing was finishing up I caught this view of the St. Louis Wheel looking down Clark Street as the sun was setting.

Sunset
The Mississippi River was near its crest at St. Louis and it’s that time of year when the sun sets through the Arch. With the water as high as it is I was able to get this shot of the Arch just after the sun went down. What is unusual is that I was able to get a full reflection because the water is so high. Normally you can only get a little bit of it.
Goodbye August
Goodbye August and bring on September because that means fall is just around the corner. The last sunset was a beauty though.

Sunset through the Arch
It is that time of year in the St. Louis area where the sun sets through the Arch. A few photographer friends and I went down to the Malcom Martin Memorial Park in East St. Louis to get some shots. Was really hoping to have some clouds and a nice pink sky but it cleared up. Regardless it is really nice to see the sun set through it. There is no other skyline like St. Louis has with the Arch.
