A couple of sunset photos from the 8th of April.
Sunset on the gulf coast in Destin Florida last week. Our first vacation in a long, long time. I was hoping for some really dramatic clouds and colours but it was still beautiful.
Last night’s Super Blood Wolf Moon. The first eclipse and first full moon of 2019.
The Mississippi River was near its crest at St. Louis and it’s that time of year when the sun sets through the Arch. With the water as high as it is I was able to get this shot of the Arch just after the sun went down. What is unusual is that I was able to get a full reflection because the water is so high. Normally you can only get a little bit of it.
Goodbye August and bring on September because that means fall is just around the corner. The last sunset was a beauty though.
Alive, aware, in awe
Before the grandeur of it all
Our floating pale blue ark
Of endless forms most beautiful.
I was hoping for a few clouds and a bit more colour but it’s one of the few days of the year when I can get this shot down the rails here in Troy. Hard to believe it is December 23rd and it was in the upper 60s today. Guess I have to enjoy it while I can.
It was a beautiful evening and sunset at Horseshoe Lake State Park.
A beautiful morning at Horseshoe Lake State Park. Not much in the way of birds unfortunately.
